Holy Grounds coffee house had the great fortune to begin its fifth year of ministry
with the long-awaited return of Bill Cooper and Bette Kron of Nightsong music. It was
simply a wonderful evening, filled with good food, lots of laughter, and great music.
Bill and Bette performed many of their original creations, such as Bette’s “Nobody
Knows” and “One By One” (a brand new song), and Bill’s touching “I’ll Never Give Up”.
Additionally, they also performed beautiful renditions of familiar and well-loved
songs such as “Everlasting Arms”, Give Me Jesus”, a fantastic duet of “What a Friend
We Have in Jesus”, and even “Jesus Loves Me”. They tried to finish the night with
Richard Mullin’s “Bound to Come Some Trouble”, but the crowd demanded an encore, and
they closed the evening with Mullin’s “Hold Me Jesus”.
Bill and Bette shared music, ministry, and laughs with the crowd, and all in
attendance seemed to have a wonderful time. We thank Bill and Bette so much for
joining us, and if you missed their performance, we hope you’ll join us next time!
P.S.: Our deep thanks go out to all who brought along food items along for the food
drive. All items donated will be given to the Hicksville United Methodist Church’s
new food pantry which was designed to help the less fortunate. May God bless your
kindness and generosity!
