May saw the return of favorites Bill Cooper and Bette Kron. Bill and Bette, who together are Nightsong music, have such great lyrics, vocals, and chemistry, that it’s virtually impossible to hear them and not feel better about the world.
Bill and Bette performed many of their beautiful songs, often taking a moment to reflect on the personal importance of each. In addition to performing familiar favorites, they also interspersed some new songs, such as “I Don’t Wanna Be Good” and “One by One”, which are slated to appear on their tentatively titled new album Until We Get Home, due later this year. On a personal note, I loved their version of “Everlasting Arms”.
